Description

St. Johns houses a food cupboard that is open to the community twice a week and is relied HEAVILY upon. Local parishes raise money and donate food to keep our shelves stocked, but there.is a neverending need.

Our youth program participates yearly in World Vision's 30 Hour Famine to raise.money and awareness about world hunger. Special offerings and fundraisers throughout the year are not uncommon.

For Thanksgiving we as.a.congregation assemble countless thanksgiving dinners for distrobution into.the community to those who can not afford it. Turkeys are included.

We participate in Aid For Friends, a program where members cook and freeze nutritious meals that they've made at home store them at the church. They are taken as needed to poor and elderly shutins.

Our mission is not only abroard, but right here on our streets and in our community. Hope this helps!
